I believe wedding photography is one of the most essential services when planning a wedding.
After all, it's through photographs that we relive this incredible day — and they’re the memories we’ll carry with us forever. In this article, I’m sharing eight of the best wedding photographers in Spain — and trust me, you won’t regret hiring any of them.
What I love most about these photographers, beyond the spontaneity of their shots, is their editing style. It’s beautifully natural. Each of them, in their own unique way, plays with the image's natural properties — light and shadow — which gives their work a timeless feel. Their photos won’t look outdated as time goes by.
Let’s dive in!
Plataforma
@plata.forma- based in Madrid
“We’re always looking for photographs that convey emotion in a natural way — capturing the small, fleeting moments of the day.”
Plataforma’s favourite moments to shoot:“We love photographing the getting ready and the cocktail hour. The first for its calmness and the emotion that builds before the ceremony, and the second for its lively, colourful, and candid atmosphere.”.
Kiwo Estudio
@kiwo_estudio - based in Alicante
The team at Kiwo tells us, “Building a close connection with each couple is essential to us. We place great importance on capturing special moments in a natural, authentic way. What we love most about weddings is feeling and sharing in the couple’s excitement for such a long-awaited day.”.
Discretos Fotografía
@__discretos - based in Madrid and Granada
“We believe in the essence of marriage and understand its importance and significance.”
“We simply work, observe, respect, and shoot. We’re here to capture memories with care and in a discreet manner.”
Simplemente trabajamos, observamos, respetamos y disparamos.
Nos encargamos de recoger recuerdos, con cariño y de manera discreta.
Carol Garcia Conde
@carolgarciaconde - based in Madrid
With a natural, elegant, and timeless style, Carol captures what she loves most: “The little details, genuine emotions, and those spontaneous moments that truly tell each couple’s story — just as it was lived.”
“My approach blends the sensitivity of classic reportage with a more editorial touch, allowing me to create images that convey emotion, intimacy, and a strong sense of personality.”
Cris Cañibano
@cristinacanibano - based in Asturias
We hired Cris and Lara for our wedding — and it was one of the best decisions we made!
I took the opportunity to ask them a question for this post, and their answer is too good not to share:
What do you love most about your work?
“What fulfils us most on a personal level is meeting incredible people, witnessing how they celebrate their love, and especially seeing how much love and support surrounds them. Without that, a wedding wouldn’t make sense. That’s what we love the most — when there’s real emotion at a wedding, being able to capture it: the joy, the warmth, and the emotion of one of the most meaningful days in someone’s life.
Artistically and professionally, it’s also incredibly rewarding to see couples truly value our work, our dedication, and how much we put into every wedding.
And yes, it may sound a bit cliché, but it’s genuinely how we feel. We love shooting weddings — so much more than any other kind of job. And that’s saying something, because weddings can be chaotic, unpredictable, and full of surprises… but we love them. Especially since our own wedding, we know exactly how it feels. And when a couple and their guests are fully enjoying the day, we enjoy it even more — because we understand how special it is to be there, capturing those fleeting moments of happiness that you’ll relive forever.”
